Blog Mission
To generate conversation among young Canadians about how technology affects their privacy, and to help young Canadians learn how to build a secure online identity that involves thinking ahead before posting any information on the web.
This blog will make a special effort to identify and highlight information and advice that may help young Canadians explore their information rights. We will be making a special effort to identify and explain material that will help young Canadians be aware that what they put online now might be permanent and could be accessed years and years after it is relevant to them.
This blog is not written by the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Instead, it is a group effort by employees working for the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, and some young people who are interested in privacy issues.
